Malden's Growing Film Industry Impact
Kevin Duffy was Malden Rotary's Guest Speaker on August 17th.
Kevin will delivered an update from the Mayor's Office. The topic was how Malden has rapidly become the film industry's local darling. Kevin filled us in on what films' have been shot in Malden, what A-listers have been seen hanging around Edgeworth and what the economic impact is on the City finances.
Kevin is the Mayor's Strategy and Business Development Officer. Some of his duties are:
• Serve as a key member of the Mayor’s team that sets the city’s strategic direction.
• Spearhead economic development efforts that are consistent with the city’s overall strategy.
• Manage multiple business-creation and business-expansion initiatives.
• Develop and maintain strategic partnerships with business leaders as well as city, state, and federal officials.
